Position: Representing Special Interests in the Construction Sector
Eng. Godana Hargura is a practicing Civil Engineer and holds a Master’s
Degree in Civil Engineering (MSc.) from the Jomo Kenyatta University of
Agriculture and Technology. He has practiced as a Civil Engineer for over
thirty (30) years and is a registered member of the Institute of Engineers of
Kenya (IEK). His working experience also spans a career in government
organizations including the Ministry of Public Works and Kenya Rural Roads
Authority (KeRRA) where he implemented policies of the Authority relating to
development, improvement and maintenance of roads. Additionally, he also
worked with Gibb Africa Consulting Engineers Limited as the Assistant
Resident Engineer in the Merille River Project located in Isiolo. Furthermore,
Eng. Hargura has served as the Honorable Senator of Marsabit County from
the year 2013 to 2022. As Senator, he also participated in the legislation of
laws mainly enabling the construction industry in Kenya.
