Renewal of the annual practicing license has been extended to 31st July 2020.
The Authority is now making preparations to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with eco-friendly cement manufacturer Savannah Cement.
The two organizations have been in talks to see how to further the working relationship that is already being enjoyed. Savannah has partnered with NCA on several projects, including training for construction workers and has also been a sponsor for several Authority events.
NCA Executive Director Dr. Daniel Manduku is keen on cultivating partnerships with organizations across the construction industry. “The Authority is for all partnerships that will benefit our stakeholders, especially the construction workers whose capacity we’re working tirelessly to build. Training is a key area with regards to those partnerships, and having worked with Savannah Cement in previous programmes, we count on them as a reliable partner to help us execute out mandate.”
In addition to training, other partnership areas being explored include business to business (B2B) workshops with contractors.
The Authority has, in the recent past, forged partnerships with similar organisations, such as Bamburi Cement, ARM Cement, Mabati Rolling Mills, Basco Paints, and, more recently, Kenya Green Building Society and Lixil.
The MOU signing is slated to take place later this month.
