NCA Celebrates the Certification of its Lead Auditors
The National Construction Authority recently celebrated the certification of its lead auditors on 14th February, 2022, at its headquarters in Upperhill, Nairobi.
The officers, through the assistance of the Management Representative’s (MR) office, were appointed and trained by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) once it began its journey towards the attainment of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Quality Management System (QMS) certification, ISO 9001:2015 standard that was awarded in 2017 by KEBS as the certifying body.
This was no easy feat and is therefore a source of pride as it demonstrates the Authority’s commitment to excellence in all that it endeavor to do.
Its ISO 9001:2015 certification was renewed in 2021.
NCA is now seeking to get the ISO Information Security Management System (ISMS) 27003:2013 certification, a combination of two standards; the QMS and ISMS and will be referred to as the Integrated Management System (IMS), centered on secure information management.
The lead auditors will carry out internal ISO audits across the Authority’s offices to ensure conformity to the standard.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a federation of national standards bodies from more than 160 countries with a standards body representing each country and with ISO members collaborating in the development of new standards in different fields.
