The period for the renewal of Annual Practicing Licenses for contractors that began on 1st June 2020 has been extended to 31st July, 2020.
It was initially scheduled to end on 30th June, 2020, but the Authority has seen fit to grant contractors more time to carry out this process in order to encourage their compliance. The licenses issued will be for the new government financial year 2020/2021.
Further, a waiver has been granted but only on existing renewal penalties that belong to NCA6, NCA7 and NCA8 contractors. However defaulters will be expected to pay the applicable renewal fees for the year (s) they have been in default.
In addition to that, the pre-requisite requirement to have full (10) Continuous Development (CPD) Points attained through attending at least one contractor training in a year hosted by NCA, remains waived as well. All scheduled training sessions were suspended due to the enduring COVID-19 pandemic.
