Training Registration Process

Continuous Professional Development, also known as ‘Training’ is a mandatory requirement for contractors not only to build capacity in the industry but also to successfully submit a license renewal application during the renewal period.

It is stipulated in the NCA Regulations 2014:

‘In each year during which a contractor holds a licence, the contractor or, in the case of a firm or company, the partner or director who possesses technical qualifications, skills or experience shall attend at least one Continuous Professional Development event recognized by the Authority and the Authority shall consider the attendances while determining an application to renew or upgrade the Contractor.’

Registration and payment for available training events is done in the ‘training’ section of an individual’s NCA contractor portal.

1. Visit our website; nca.go.ke
2. Log into your account and click ‘Available Trainings’ under the ‘Training’ tab.
3. Select your preferred training and click ‘Register’.
4. Enter the name of your company in the text box and click ‘Search’ and click on the name of your company when it appears.
5. Register for the training by selecting the appropriate details in the drop-down boxes; also confirm the registered email address and phone number and update where necessary to ensure you receive training information.
6. Proceed to make the necessary payment and note that registration is only deemed complete once the payment has been verified.
7. Log-in details for the webinar will be shared to the contractor’s registered email address prior to the webinar date.
8. Register and join the webinar using the registered email address; attendance of technical director is recorded.
9. Contractors can download their CPD certificate after filling out the feedback form via their NCA account 2 working days after the training is concluded.

1. For physical trainings, steps 5 & 6 will entail the technical director registering for physical attendance at the training venue.
2. Contractors’ CPD trainings are for the registered technical directors of the construction firm, whose name will appear on the CPD certificate.
3. Training content will be sent to the registered email address 2 working days after the training is concluded.
4. Requests to cancel a training should be sent to training@nca.go.ke, 3 working days before the training date to allow for transfer to a different training where possible.
5. Contractors can download their CPD certificate after filling out the feedback form via their NCA account 2 working days after the training is concluded.
