The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban
Development is inviting contractors to showcase affordable housing models through Innovative Building Materials and Technologies (IBMT).
Speaking during a multi-sectoral meeting at the Ministry headquarters, Housing Principal Secretary Charles Hinga Mwaura reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting local talent when it came to the Big Four Affordable Housing Agenda. “We are giving local contractors and developers a chance to show us what they can do. We will give them space to put up a show house, using IBMT, and if they can demonstrate the most prudent and efficient use of resources, they will be a part of the dream team.”
To participate, interested contractors and developers can click HERE to download the expression of interest, which contains the technical specifications needed.
