The Authority has added two more trainings in the Contractor Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Seminar schedule.
This follows requests from contractors who were unable to attend trainings covering their thematic topics of choice. The first additional training will take place on 6th and 7th June, 2017, at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies on Thika Road, Nairobi. The second will take place the following week, on the 13th and 14th of June 2017 at the Bomas of Kenya, Lang’ata Road, Nairobi.
The KSMS training will cover Contract Administration while the Bomas one will cover Cost Estimation and Tendering.
The CPD seminars kicked off in January of this year, part of an annual schedule of activities for contractors. It is mandatory for at least one technical director to attend at least one of the trainings in a year. The training is a requirement for renewal of the annual practicing license and upgrading of contractors’ category.
This year’s trainings have had a positive reception, covering every region in the counry, and tackling topics such as Construction Risk Management, Business Finance, Entrepreneurship and Marketing and Alternative Construction Technologies. The trainings are set to wind up in June of this year.
